Evolution of systemic practices for transformation - The International SDD community
Peter Jones will share key developments in the international practice of dialogic design science from his participation in the first SDD Symposium held in Limassol, Cyprus in May 2015.
This community of practice has developed the systems theory and methods used in dialogic design co-laboratories for democratic engagement and organizational strategy and change developed by Christakis, Laouris, and the Institute for 21st Century Agoras.
Peter will share some of his work, some key concepts from Gerald Midgely’s keynote Navigating Complexity Using Diverse Systems Approaches and will share updates on the new logosofia software, which is replacing the Cogniscope system used for over a decade.
Peter's presentation given at the SDD Symposium is posted at http://designdialogues.com

Suggested pre-reading:
A recent relevant paper on SDD practice is the 2014 article, "Collaborative foresight: Complementing long-horizon strategic planning", Technological Forecasting & Social Change which can be found at https://ocad.academia.edu/PeterJones
A long list of publications can be found at the Institute for 21st Century Agoras.
Two good papers on SDD practice include:
Flanagan, T.R. (2008). Scripting a Collaborative Narrative: An Approach for Spanning Boundaries, Design Management Review, Summer, 82-29.
Laouris, Y. (2010). The ABCs of SDD. Future Worlds Center report.
Participants should not feel limited to this suggested pre-reading, but should recognize that other attendees may have not read, or are reading differently, that article.
